Color Me Rib-It!

Recently, I finished a bulky version of the Rib-It! Knit Sampler Throw, using some of the block patterns from all four parts in the series.  I used Plymouth Galway bulky yarn and #10 needles.

Following the directions as written for worsted weight, each block came out to 10" square.

I crocheted the blocks together with single crochet, and knitted a narrow border in a log cabin style as follows:

I picked up stitches on one side, knit four rows, bound off, leaving the last loop on the needle.  Then I could begin picking up stitches on the next side without cutting yarn.  I repeated the process on each side.

Be sure to join the free knit-along, the Rib It Blanket KAL, on Ravelry, so you can chat with other knitters and post photos of your blocks.  I would really enjoy seeing them.
